  Long overdue review from Summer 2021 - looking forward to the next visit in Summer 2022!

Almost immediately upon staying here, you can tell that the location was very well-thought out for families: swimming pool with a children section (shallow part of pool), rooms with a kitchenette, and a playground with a cool wooden ship structure and sand to play with. Also very close to the beach and a nice pavilion/lawn.

However, the best part was the staff; they actually take a ton of pride in what they do, and are proactive - specifically in what ways they can be of help - from housekeeping services to restaurant recommendations. Very consistent, high-level of service.

Just booked for this coming summer - excited and highly recommend.

We look forward to coming here and I always recommend the VIP to everyone thinking about staying in the wildwood crest! Beach is convenient and across the street. They have grills if you and your family wanna just cookout on the grill and play ping pong or even shuffleboard. Lots of friendly faces and just a great atmosphere all around. Almost forgot they have a little playground for the kiddies!

Melissa made... read more us feel welcome the moment we entered the office. The staff is friendly, courteous and very professional. The rooms are absolutely spotless I have never stayed in a motel with this level of cleanliness. It truly surpassed my expectations. Anything that you need the staff is very willing to provide. The children’s playground area, or “the park” as my grandchildren call it is an awesome place of entertainment for them. Numerous slides, a sandy beach, swings and a pirate ship are the highlights of the park. There is a deck with three rocking chairs where parents can sit and watch their children play. The motel is a half block from the beach and across the street from the conference park. There is ample parking and you don’t have to worry about leaving and not finding a spot when you come back. The guests who stay here have been coming back each year with some families coming more than 30 years. It is my hope that my family will be doing the same. After the family's Wildwood Crest motel of choice shuttered... read more after nearly five decades, we were left looking for something in the area to call home for a week every July. The search led to the V.I.P., and we couldn't be happier.

Quality begins with ownership, and it's immediately obvious the property has been lovingly maintained over the years. While decades-old, the rooms are modern and comfortable with great beds and useful seating areas in the living rooms. Everything is spotless- in all my traveling (of which there is a lot), I haven't come across many properties cleaner than this one.

As I have said with all motels in this section of Wildwood Crest, location is an attribute. The beach is a short block to the east and the southern end of the boardwalk isn't too far to the north. Also within walking distance are bike rentals and quite a few breakfast/lunch eateries. And because the V.I.P. is a smaller property, parking is never an issue- there is close to zero chance of returning late at night to find all the parking spaces occupied.

While the family laments the loss of our old "home away from home" in the Wildwoods, finding the V.I.P. has been wonderful and we look forward to making decades of new memories.
